Rollers are earthmoving machines used to compact soil, gravel, concrete or asphalt in road construction. Other common uses are at landfills and in agriculture.
Rollers are used to flatten and level out uneven ground and roadways, compacting small bumps in the soil base. Padfoot Rollers have lots of shells or knobs attached to the drum, these are most suited for compaction of plastic soils such as clay or silt. Smooth Drum or Vibratory Rollers use static pressure, vibration and impact to compact materials such as dirt, gravel, rocks, sand and asphalt.
Rollers are used alongside graders and watercarts to achieve the desired outcome.
Projects we have used rollers on include: Roads; Driveways; House/Building Pads; Compacting Trenches; Green Energy Projects such as Wind Farms and Solar Farms.
